what are the roads like in the snow? Im bieng forced to go on a family do up near there next friday and im determined to spend a few hours of it driving over the pass. Just dont want to drive all the way up in the snow and be off at the first bend if the havnt been gritted or anything.

If the weather turns bad the Cat & Fiddle is the first to be closed as it is pretty high and ets all the snow.

It's closely followed by the Snake Pass. To get over the Pennines in bad weather the M62 is the only route.
