Just had this text message come through on my phone , I’ve looked into it and it is a scam 😕
But I am waiting for something to be delivered 🌞

It's doing the rounds, a number of people have had their accounts cleaned out.

Been getting these regularly, plus my TV licence seems to run out at least once a month unless I resubmit my direct debit details.

Makes you wonder where they get your mobile number from or do they just do random cranking in of numbers with one of these random number generators. I presume the scammers are getting more & more sophisticated these days.

Good job my recently deceased distant Nigerian uncle has left me some funds, after these Post Office scammers have emptied my account.
Won't fall for that again, I will definitely be more careful with the inheritance I am due off him,
his solicitor will be keeping my card number and pin safely under wraps!

I got that text this evening, another number blocked. Its a pity that people do fall for it though.

Especially if you are waiting for a delivery too like I am 🌞

I won an I phone just needed to pay the £1 postage, very consistent and looked convincing. 2 e mails asking for the postage then a e mail supposedly from Royal mail saying it was at the Post office awaiting delivery after postage paid. Didn't fall for it but was tempted.

Had the same 'Royal Mail' scam text. Just delete anything like that, my wife had a similar one from 'Hermes' .

In January this year I got an email to say I had won £500 in a competition for returning a review from Barclaycard. Said to please acknoldge receipt of email. I sent seperate email back to confirm. I then checked with Barclaycard ,by email, they knew nothing about it said it was a scam ,and as usual ---do not open any attachments.
3 weeks later I got another email saying I would soon receive an amazon gift voucher. I decided not to open any attacthments but fortunatly minutes later it came as an email direct from amazon and unbelievable it was showing as a Gift Voucher in my amazon account. Good job it was not an attachment or I could never have spent it.

I just got the scam message too. I’ve never knowingly given Royal Mail my telephone number and would always regard messages like this as a scam

If there is anything to pay you get a card to say so and the location where to pick up the parcel or letter accordingly.

If that is your number showing @Martin Sullivan I would remove it if I were you.

Tony.

Just had a call on my mobile from "Carphone Warehouse" from a mobile which I didn't recognise. I've never had anything to do with them before so cut the call immediately and now number blocked aswell.
