My s***'s custom!
Hello and welcome. Z4s are solid and sound machines with very few common faults. The only really common issue is the roof motor failing due to its poor placement. The roof sheds water into 'gutters' and down through drain holes above the rear arches. If the drain clogs up the water rises and swamps the roof motor. A car that's been garaged should be fine.
When you look the car over, lower the roof part way and stop it. Check for signs of debris in the bottom of the fabric.
When you own own one just Hoover that area regularly and you won't have an issue. There are guides on YouTube on clearing the drains but if you look after the situation it's very rare you'll need to clear them as you'll get no build up.
A replacement roof motor at a reputable garage will set you back £500-600.
Prevention is easy....the cure is expensive!
Happy zedding.

Hello and welcome. Make sure the run flats have been replaced with decent rubber as the run flats are crap. Apart from that watch for broken rear springs as this is a common issue.
