Is the screw with "Tee" handle on it the bleed screw?

It's not air purging by the feel of it, It lifts with power and it just hits a point before half way up and stays there. The motor keeps going and then when I go to retract however the length of time I went past it's max point it take the same amount of time to reach the retraction point. (no hydraulic fluid leaking anywhere). It's like the second half of the movement is just gone.

Would that not bleed any air out then? If I have to top up the beam jack at work I have to work the cycle a few times to make it work correctly.
I guess you have to slacken that screw to work the roof manually?

Yeah I did that, opened the release valve and pumped it around 15/20 times. Closed the valve when it was down all the way and no joy when i tried again
