Mines is exactly the same and my options were to get a new window sewn in to the hood or a new roof.

The first was quoted at £250 although other guys on here have said they could get it done for less.

The roof is still pretty tidy / sound except for that stitching.

Had the same issue when i fitted the window on my original roof. Window came with a roll of double sided tape about 1/8 inch width was a right faff got most stuck down but had about 6 inch lifted never got bigger and was water tight just never looked right cosmetically. Think its one of those things that shows professional work from the not so gifted amatuer.

@N4LLY if the actual stitching that holds the window surrounding to the roof all comes apart thats a whole different matter thats what's happened to Paul's roof and its looking like nobody wants to repair that if it goes wrong .Paul is having to replace his roof

I have had this issue now for a couple years, The problem off course is the car side zipper's stitching is coming apart and in my case many of the stitches have made the holes long or a tear, this means that you can not reuse the hole and must add more stitching to fix it.
This works for a bit, a season if you will. After that the repair stitching becomes even more radical and non-uniform and since you have to go around existing holes and have a firm surface to stitch in, the tension on the window can increases and causes more stitches to come loose or broken. The more you put the top up and down the worse it gets.
In my mind now the real solution is a new top. Until you I that, I have to do this year after year and your my baby is going to look worse and worse.
You can take the top off and repair it, but this costs maybe up to half of what a new top costs if you cant do it yourself.
I plan to get a new top this year, I am tired of this half-ass repair.

Mines lifted away on both top corners and it's starting to creep along to eventually join up.

I am tired of this half-ass repair.
It has come to the time for replacement Rudy. After that you can forget the roof issues and enjoy your car.

Tony.
