Yes, several times.
For leasure with oldtimers.
But, once I did it "in force" with a BMW 1serie, 140 BHP.
In an early morning, from South to Transilvania.
At the end some oil was leaking from the rear axle...drops, not really scary...
I think I did it in less than an hour...

The road is opened between half July and end of October.
Never go there in weekend and always check the meteo. If cloudy, which is not a surprise, it's a total loss.
Can be done in conjunction with Transalpina.
