Yeah something's not right. I've done 3 now best one pulling 230bhp. Might be worth checking part numbers on the manifold seeing what you've got.
Thanks lee when you say check part numbers on manifold, sorry I don’t understand me not being up on these thingsYeah something's not right. I've done 3 now best one pulling 230bhp. Might be worth checking part numbers on the manifold seeing what you've got.
Yeah I know what you mean a little disappointed was expecting more, not sure now what else one can do?Mine pulled 195 with a standard manifold on. There is definatley room to get some more bobos out of that @Springers
Take a pic and post it on here as its clear if it is the correct one, the inlets are alot widerThanks lee when you say check part numbers on manifold, sorry I don’t understand me not being up on these things
Thanks Sean this is the manifold that Roy very successfully fitted on the car so there maybe a picture there?Take a pic and post it on here as its clear if it is the correct one, the inlets are alot wider
It’s the same manifold Lee this is the print out from today if you can make sense of it , it was mapped after it had been on the dyno todayI see, I miss read your post, So you've had it dyno'ed to check what its putting out.
When I last spoke with Roy he had a flash map done (upload an existing map onto the ECU) so it's never been live mapped (a map tailored for the engine)
If the part numbers check (which are on Roys build thread) I would look at getting a good Map done.
That's odd because most 2.8's put out around 200 stock. If you look in the zedshed section you will be a big list of cars that have been dyno'ed.View attachment 88204

Does that say 210bhp in the last category ? It's quite blurry to read.View attachment 88204

Yeah I am not sure been googling to try to find out wether it's power at the flywheel equates to engine power or power at the wheels is engine power the spread sheet definitely says flywheel?Mine is massively down on torque still compared to yours even after a remap, only 277.7nm which I think is only around the standard figure.
If I'm right if it's 200 at the flywheel its more from the engine? Mine is 195 wheel power and 220 engine power, so if your is 200 at the wheels the engine will be more like 230? There's so many different figures to go by and so many different ways of testing.
Hi Grumps spoke with them earlier and it is bhp at the wheels as on a dyno there not able to measure bhp accurately at the flywheel due to transmission etc so the figure given is at the wheels and they estimate a loss of approx 12 - 15% due to transmission so if you take fig of 199.64 @ the wheels and add you get 224/230 BHP,result coupled with the 365.79 torque well pleasedCould you ring them and ask them to explain it to you?
Hi spoke with them earlier plus another tuner at Chesterfield and it is bhp at the wheels as on a dyno there not able to measure bhp accurately at the flywheel due to transmission etc so the figure given is at the wheels and they estimate a loss of approx 12 - 15% due to transmission so if you take fig of 199.64 @ the wheels and add you get 224/230 BHP,result coupled with the 365.79 torque well pleasedI think most places that have a dyno give BHP figures quoted from the engine, looks like yours may be the flywheel power and not engine power so hopefully the correct figure maybe about right.
That sounds more like it.Hi Grumps spoke with them earlier and it is bhp at the wheels as on a dyno there not able to measure bhp accurately at the flywheel due to transmission etc so the figure given is at the wheels and they estimate a loss of approx 12 - 15% due to transmission so if you take fig of 199.64 @ the wheels and add you get 224/230 BHP,result coupled with the 365.79 torque well pleased
You're engine is producing close to 235BHP if you've got 199.64BHP at the wheels with a 15% loss or 227BHP if you've only lost 12% efficiency. Either way, they're good numbersHi spoke with them earlier plus another tuner at Chesterfield and it is bhp at the wheels as on a dyno there not able to measure bhp accurately at the flywheel due to transmission etc so the figure given is at the wheels and they estimate a loss of approx 12 - 15% due to transmission so if you take fig of 199.64 @ the wheels and add you get 224/230 BHP,result coupled with the 365.79 torque well pleased
