I got that letter this week, but sold our Tiguan two months ago now.I agree mate, I think the Gov. has finally realised how much revenue they're missing out on now.
By the way, and a little OT, we finally got a letter from VW to say we can get Shirl's oil burner "repaired" at no cost to us, hasn't taken that long . Still hoping owners may end up getting some compo too!

I won't be buying any more diesels, all of my cars are now petrol and will be staying that way.
Now they just have to sort out the outrageous MPG claims manufacturers have been getting away with for the last few years testing the cars in artificial environments.
We bought an Audi A1 diesel a few years ago, brochure said up to 78mpg. Best we ever got was 54mpg on a long steady run, felt so cheated.
Back to the topic on road tax, I think there will be large sales of low road tax new cars before April. And the late, lower road tax cars, will hold better residual values for the next few years.
