Holy s***, that going to generate some cash and it seems that the new buyer is penalised in the first year, It does get to me a bit that some vehicles are free of tax and they get the same as me for their money

Was just saying the same thing to Shirl mate, even a bloody Prius has 4 tyres wearing the road surface just like your car. It can't just be all about emissions.

And those tyres are wearing down mate, where do you think the rubber goes, oh yes, into the environment causing the same polution as any other tyres. I'm pleased that they are having to pay, we have friends that are minted, they have 4 cars and bought a PHEV for the school run as it was tax free and electric, As it was, the more money you had the more you saved.

I agree mate, I think the Gov. has finally realised how much revenue they're missing out on now.
By the way, and a little OT, we finally got a letter from VW to say we can get Shirl's oil burner "repaired" at no cost to us, hasn't taken that long . Still hoping owners may end up getting some compo too!
