A great all round driver. Jim Clarke?

Both very similar, great in many different disciplines, Moss was just amazing and that Mila Mila drive was just outstanding (did you know Moss and jenkins invented the pace note for that race which is now a common tool). I'd have to give the crown to JC though.
Very difficult to say one way or another as they both had brilliant and very diverse motoring careers. Jim Clarke won F1 World Championships twice, Indy 500, BTCC and numerous other rallying & racing awards. Stirling Moss finished 2nd x 4 times & 3rd x 3 times in FI World Championship, Winner of Mille Miglia , Targa Florio, RAC Tourist Trophy and also numerous other rallying, speed records & racing awards.
The thing that swings it for me with Stirling is though - Quote from Wikipedia below.

"For many years during and after his career, the rhetorical phrase "Who do you think you are, Stirling Moss?" was supposedly the standard question all British policemen asked speeding motorists. Moss relates he himself was once stopped for speeding and asked just that; he reports the traffic officer had some difficulty believing him."
