Rimac Concept One supercar hammond was driving looked wonderful

There's one lucky chap Indeed, being a very fit lad probably helped save him.

He's a lucky lad getting out of that !

Those Swiss hill climbs are serious.
I wonder how much practice these presenters get before trying that out in 1000bhp car.

Errr, not enough? A bit like trying out at Dragster at Elvington? He's been a very lucky boy, again. Bet his Mrs. is livid.

Tony.

Glad he's ok, needs to seriously be more careful, this was very lucky.

How does an electric car catch alight anyway....
Wonder if this will be good or bad publicity for the manufacturer...

Perhaps it has something to do with the inherent danger of compressing Li-Ion batteries. Look on YouTube, Some idiot at work tried this a few weeks ago ............................

Tony.

O no poor Richard :p
He do take some risks :)

I wonder how much Amazon's insurance cover for their Grand Tour venture will be now.
I bet the owners of the car are none too pleased either.
As Tony points out, electric vehicles are not as safe from fire as you might think. You never know, the Hamster might have done us all a favour by focussing on the risk in accidents as electric cars move into mainstream production.
He's a lucky man.

I'm thinking he will now be uninsurable....

Big crash, short circuit, bang!
They keep trying to find ever more spectacular things to do, but the risks will end up killing off the genre.
