A bit of bad news for Euro trips.

This used to be a regular last stop on the way home..

I have never seen much traffic on this road. Long distance vision is very good, and the hard shoulder is quite wide. The other side of the triangular course is quite busy, but the pit straight has always been a quiet road. This legislation sounds like a cross between the whining of do-gooders and tree-huggers. No doubt cyclists will still be able to use the straight for their 'Time Trials' - or races to us . . . I wonder how many accidents have ever taken place there - it will probably become more dangerous now that tourists will slow to a crawl to look at the pits and grandstand.

This will be a shame, stop here every time I leave France.

It's crazy - a quiet road like this is not like Mulsane Straight at le Mans, which is normally a fast and busy road, where no-one would dream of stopping. As the French really do have democracy, perhaps this ruling will be changed.
