Reviving this car that been sitting almost 12 years under a car port. Cars already in the shop for the drivetrain type stuff. New fuel pump was needed and intake hoses. Bought a new MAF sensor and exhaust cam sensor (recommended by shop after codes were thrown). Gonna install myself and have new tires on the way too. I’m aware the vanos solenoids are of future worry along with anything rubber in the car.

The style 42 wheels have the clear coat peeling at the barrel. How do I got about a diy fix for those?

All in all only 70k miles on the car and the interior is incredible minus the droopy glovebox.

Hi and welcome from from me. Have a read of this thread regarding the glove box https://zroadster.org/threads/glovebox-fix-busted-up-glove-box.44451/
As a diy for your wheels you could just lightly sand that area then spray a bit of lacquer for now and get them professionally refurbed in the future if you want them to look there best. Google some YouTube vids to see if the problem you have is worth diy first before wasting your time and effort.
