I thought I should update my restoration progress, very near to concluding my efforts, even the basic restoration has taken time based on financial constraints and other interventions. (one can read the diary on
my website, there are also useful DIY workshop, useful Z3 publications and a service manual (if one looks for it ;) gallery, history of the Z3 on : http://paragon.myvnc.com as a reminder the before and after photos:

I still have some work to do however I can see light at the end of the tunnel....

I would like to raise a point, does any member have their windscreen washer bottle on the firewall? I have only seen it situated on the offside front wing on all other z3s? Just a thought....

That's the face-lift Z3. Pre-facelift is at the front left as you look at the engine. Same as the coolant expansion tank.

Thank you for that info Andyglym, one assumes it is for all the facelift models, I was beginning to think my Z3 was a little bit of a 'Heinz57' Good to know...

I believe so. I think most Z3's are a bit Heinz57, the cab switchgear is testament to that :arghh:

Thank you, so that confirms it, it is the facelift model. Check out the website and look for the white spot on two of the title pages a useful pdf download in the workshop...onsite Z3 publication. The clue 'useful', yes many white dots, however 2nd clue, look for a 'beautiful image' (ok, maybe a little sexist but I'm old school)..... (limited time).
