Resolved-faulty side lights caused : Front Indicator glowing if no main beam on

Many thanks for all responses- you were spot on with " its a BMW feature" . My side light ( parking light ) bulbs seemed ok ( glowed) but did not draw enough to to satisfy the ecu looking after the bulb monitoring.I replaced these and the issue resolved.
My next challenge is to fit some "non canbus error LEDS" to try and fit without this happening too. I have some and will try tomorrow and post in other section if successful.

If you want to fit LEDs you can code (with Carly) the ecu to stop monitoring the bulb voltage.

Hi there, is this easy to do via Carly or do you need to be a code breaker? If it’s straight forward I’ll buy one cause I have a similar problem just want to make sure first.

easy just tick or un-tick the appropriate box in the Carly menus.

Cheers guys, i don’t suppose anyone has a Carly around east anglia that would mind helpin me out? There’s a few bits I’d like to change, I don’t mind paying rather pay you than go to a dealer
