mmm I've not got a helmet either, never had one but just read this on the email from Silverstone:

'Helmets are very limited and we must stress that Silverstone will be unable to hire everyone a helmet on the day. We strongly advise if you have access to a helmet from either a friend, or your own, please bring this with you on the day.'

Worried now:(.

Dave I'll have a spare full face one you can use if that's any good ?.
Could bring it with us tomorrow.

What time are you arriving at Silverstone Dave as I am probably coming down for a visit.

Haven't made definite plans yet Brian. We are staying local to Silverstone on Sunday night so will be fairly early but the briefing isn't till 12:30.

If we can get helmets yes, that's the plan.

Present forecast isn't looking to good. I might know a little more by the time it hits me tonight/early a.m. Hopefully we'll get the worst here before it rises over the Cotswolds so there will be less to fall on you out enjoying yourselves :)
 
I have two spare helmets that I'll bring with me. I used to do some karting (and sometimes still do)..... I think you'll need for both driver and passenger
 
I have my own. So sounds like quite alot will not need the hire so plenty of hires should be available.
I'm only 10 mins away and have to check out at 1100 and as the local A422 hand wash is closed ill also be hunting around 1100 - 1130 with a filthy Z.

Weather wise xcweather is giving rain over night until 0700 then cloudy but dry.
10c at 1300 hrs

Can live with that. (The earlier sessions can dry out the track and give us racing line)

Edit. That's for Towcester.
 
Mine and Sam's cars are both ready to go. Will be leaving here around 10am.

Would love to but lots of family stuff on over Easter.
The Z hasn’t even turned a wheel. Friday morning was the only free time I had so I washed it quickly....

.....Literally in that pouring rain, couldn’t wait for a break in the weather...I was wetter than the car!

My neighbors suspected I’m nuts but now I they know I am, doesn’t help that the whole neighbourhood must have been out walking dogs in the rain in the quick hour I was out washing the car!
