This is the only key I have for T86 KJF so I have to unlock the doors manually and use the screwdriver mod to open the boot.

To be honest its not that much of an issue and the modified boot entry serves as a bit of a novelty.

However would be interested to understand what options exist regarding getting a proper remote key. Cheers

He did a nice folding key for mine as I only had one when I bought it. He is also cutting a new key for my misses new car because of the same issue. I dont remember who recommended him to me originally but he is very helpful.

From the look of the key, it looks like a valet key. This was the key you gave when you valet parked your car. It allows the velvet to open the car doors, and start the car to park it, but it does not allow access to the boot, or lockable compartment in the cab.
So when the car was new you got two keys for the alarm, the valet key, and a plastic key.
