Now I always take the roof down when I can but occasionally living in Wales I need to keep it up on the rare misty day like today enrolee to Newport! It was then I discovered it's best to have aircon working it got a bit stuffy and SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) objected to my lowering of my window as it interfered with her music playing...

I found out I had a leak when taking advantage of the Groupon offer at ATS for a recharge for £29.50. The chaos in Abergavenny did a pressure test first before activating the voucher (which meant I got a full refund) and told me there was no gas present and when they did the pressure test it leaked straight away.

So does anyone know of a "local" repair shop that could get it working again and how much I could expect to be charged? Maybe this is not possible but I thought I'd ask!

i used a fella a while ago local... to me Brynmawr Area I see if i can get his mobile number he is very good and checks for leaks with a sniffer of some kind first then has to weigh the correct amount of oil for the air conditioning then sucks whats left of the old refigerant out of the system and i think puts some sort of dye in to trace the leaks

i get back to you with his number where are you from by the way...

Be warned if the condenser is holed (and this is the most likely scenario due to its location in front of the radiator) it will be expensive plus a new dryer will be required plus the re-gas, mine cost me £680 and I sourced the parts.

I would get as many quotes as poss maybe you can get it cheaper, but beware the cowboys, if its too cheap it wont be a good fix, I used a BMW Indy in Gloucester that though reluctantly, fitted the after market parts I sourced. and to be fair 2 years on the system is still perfect.
