removing glue from the soft top

when the replacement window has been put in they have done a shoddy job and used glue to stick the edges down.
iv been meaning to get this sorted ever since i bought the car but i need to remove bits of overlay of the glue.
anyone got any ideas on how to get it off without damaging the mohair ?

depends on what sort of glue they have used, if its silicone you can pull most of it off and then try neat vinegar and a good stiff brush. If its super glue then baby oil should get right under it allowing it to be scraped off and then the oil removed with some fairy liquid. The glue remover you can buy is quite strong so i wouldnt use it on the roof just incase it removes the dye.
