Inherited this with the car and need to get rid so would welcome any tips on the best method of removal without damaging the dash

If it was mine I'd wait till the sun comes back - y'know, that bright disk in the sky that the elders talk about - park it in the sun and the dash'll get jolly hot indeed and then see if you can get it to shift.

You’re bound to know someone who goes carp fishing from your neck of the woods. Braid is very strong and will cut through adhesives.

Tony.

I'd try heating it up a little first before trying to prise it off/cut through the adhesive. You could always use Mrs's hairdryer or the mans version, a heat gun.;)

🌞i would let the sun do the hatd graft, it should warm it evenly then assist it with a hot gun gently. If of course the adhesive softens with heat...

I've used dental floss to remove badges on my Z3 M Coupe which worked well and didn't mark the paintwork. So a little gentle heat from a hairdryer and then just try working the dental floss in a sawing action should do the trick. Patience is the thing, don't rush the job.
Good luck

Thanks all - sounds like I need to exercise some patience for once and wait for the current bun
