Reggie to become my daily driver.

It's no good disliking it Mark, it won't change anything! I take it the 75 is a goner then.

Well this sort of stems from another thread being ran by @Tfp.
I have been out today with @jue1 to look at a VW Touareg. Was to be fair quite at excited as it's my first choice but they are mainly out of my budget. This one was well within and now I know why!
Usual questions asked and the replies were good so off we went the 70 miles in Jacks likkle festa.
On arriving I got one leg out of the car before jue said "drivers door is way out of line, let's go!". Well I did continue to have a swift look around the car before retreating back to festa.
What was described as excellent condition turned out to be:
Drivers door massively out of line.
3 tyres in need of replacement
Huge scratch all down the passenger side.
Front bumper badly painted and masking lines all on show.
All 4 alloys needed referb.
Didn't bother getting in the car as our mind was made up. What a waste of a day and 140 miles!
Why do people bullshit! Do they think we're all blind!:mad::mad::banghead::banghead:
I knocked on the door to say how happy I was to be sent a wild goose chase but no one answered the door! I wonder bloody why! Honestly.......:rage:

Hmm annoying when you travel all that way to be disappointed .
Why not go for a Discovery/Range Rover, cheap parts and easy to maintain and excellent work horses. Cheap enough now and plenty to choose from......just my opinion of course. :)

I'm not a fan of the earlier discovery mate and the range rovers are just so unreliable. Still looking for a Touareg/ML or Sorento. Other options are available! ;).

I don't think you can say ML and reliable in the same sentence let alone same book!
Then add rust.
Surely Japanese is the only solution to a low budget, reliable workhorse?

What weight limit you wanting to tow Dave?

Yeah your probably right about the ML @Dino D . I know the ML isn't the best either but just like them. I'm aware they have a small tenancy to the tin worm but if you buy carefully that can be avoided. It'll end up being a Kia!

Brian, trailer is around 800kg. One pony and one very large horse. So just shy of 2 tonnes but I don't like to tow on the limit so wants to be 3500kg max towing capacity which only leaves the big stuff. If it was purely to tow and sit around the rest of the time I wouldn't really care what it was but because we're switching both the cars over (not the zed) I will be using it everyday to commute aswell so I need to like it a bit! Jue had a shogun sport for 6 years and it was a fantastic work horse and extremely reliable but it was the worst car i've ever driven and so under powered it was embarrassing!

Give in to your redneck side ,your half way there already your a trucker .buy a pickup!!! You know you want to..

We had the car derived version of that. (Shogun sport) nothing sporty about it, dog slow and I mean dog, and so agricultural it might aswell have been a tractor! On the plus side it was bloody reliable, had it 6 years and never cost us a bean.
