Cars been running like a dead pig for weeks now. Went to @Jjim and his code reader came up the crankshaft sensor so I replaced it with the premium brand one from ECP. No change so assuming it was a bad one got a genuine one from BMW along with a new adaptor lead and still no change. Code reader is still throwing up crankshaft sensor so i've given up and taken it to an Indy who has been recommended by my new neighbour who has an e46 M3. Fingers crossed it won't be anything to major. Need it right for Sunday as we have a very important engagement

I changed the crank sensor first on my Z3 Dave, then the inlet cam sensor.
Hope it's a simple cheap fix for you bud.

Well yes I know what you mean Gail but it was their premium part over their basic one.

The ECP one was a delphi?? I think mate. Maybe the brain needs telling the car has a new sensor?? I haven't a Scooby just clutching at straws.
