Recommendations for after market part

While I try to keep to original parts when possible BMW want £503 for one Vanos Solenoid.

if the ticking noise isn’t resolved by cleaning the piston can I get some recommendations for the best after market please.

I didn’t dare ask how much the O ring was.

Might it be cured with one of these? I've used X8R stuff before and it worked.

Thanks. It has been rebuilt by the local shed using that kit.
The clicking is the Solenoid itself.
