Hi all I've just bought a 2001 2.2 z3 and will at some time maybe over winter require the rear window to be replaced. It is the zipper one How easy is this and where is best place to purchase one Steve

@steven phleps. I needed one for my car and bought a new zip window. However, when I went to replace it, I realized that the stitching on the top section of the window that's sewn into the top of the car (as opposed to the zipper part attached to the window), was falling away from the top as it had deteriorated to the point of being useless. Closer inspection of the top revealed a similiar situation in other areas. So, I had to go for a new top. Just be sure you're not in the same situation before you buy a new window...I waited several months to replace the window before I realized I couldn't use it and the return date had already passed. Fortunately, another member of the forum needed it so I gave it to him.............Frankie
