Any tips for this seal which is coming away - tried superglue with no effect

For reference the screen was replaced about 15 years ago by the guy in Coventry and the zipper was removed and directly glued in place so it has lasted wel
 
New top is the only sensible solution here. The stitching has begun to perish as well. Getting 15-20 years out of a roof is good going
 
Already got it booked into Swansea - after faffing around with glue and a sewing needle thought it deserved better than that - 26 years with the same roof is pretty good in my books
