Anyway the original question was, has anyone fitted the rear trailing arms with poly bushes?
or am I best sticking with OEM?
I’ve looked and cannot find a definitive answer.
One person fitted the poly one and said it squeaked, while another said it’s best to keep the diff bush and rear trailing arm oem, but no reason why.

Well I am lazy....I want to do job but in as little time as possible.
I am tight fisted....I can’t afford to pay the going rate for a mechanic to do it and rip me off.

👍🏿
from the work you’ve done I certainly wouldn’t say you’re lazy 👍

Your missing the point here Niall, what was being discussed was replacing the Diff. Eye bush with Poly nothing else (and it’s effects on the boot floor) despite the thread title. I simply suggested that it was easier and cheaper to fit a poly bush in the Diff. Eye rather than removing the Diff cover and replacing the oil and a standard rubber bush when looking at garage labour prices.

Tony.

I answered your question with my post,
Yes I have, and I will be changing back to original.

Diff bush apart, the reasons:
"The car now feels every bump and hollow and creaks from all over the place as it shakes things apart.
Great at handling, but getting a bit tiresome now."
My personal experience, others may (will) disagree.

Bushes are cushions that absorb stresses, harden them up, and more of those stresses will transfer rather than being absorbed.

In my personal experience fitting poly subframe bushes, new rubber oem bushes everywhere else apart from m roadster front wishbone bushes along with bilstien shocks/struts and the z coupe rear sway bar flattened my 2.8 roadsters handling and dramagically reduces bump steer and tramlining without compromising ride or clearance. I now run out of talent before the car does which was not the case before.

Personally I think this is a fine combination of parts. Granted it does not have the asthetics of lowering springs but it handles and grips better than I can drive (not saying much) and it's fun.
