Rear screen Protection

Just thought i'd post what i do to keep a nice curve in the rear screen when the hoods down. I use a piece of 15mm pipe lagging as per the first picture....


If inserted as the roof is folded it allows the screen to curl around it like this...


So when folded the screen curls nicely and doesn't crease.

Just thought i would share it helps with the screen then not rubbing together and creating the scratched crease that so many of our cars suffer from..

I have a rolled up towel in mine, also handy if I need to dry it first.

Same thing I've used for the last couple of years (pipe insulation)

And a blanket of course!

It all helps i know the screen can take the creases but any help to avoid is no bad thing

Yep, my rear screen is 2 1/2 years old and no creases.

Unfortunately mine is 15 years old and does have. Hopefully for not too much longer.

What a good idea,I'm having the rear window replaced soon so i'l use your method to help protect it .
