Remove the arm from the car. Rip out the old rubber bush then using a hacksaw split the outer steel shell and remove that. Poly bushes come with fitting instructions.

Would require specialised tooling, that's why people fit the poly type bushes.

I’ve photos on this and my diff oil change, remember? Just didn’t take any notes so can’t do a How To guide.

Both mine replaced with power-flex poly-bush, very easy, but be advised you MAY experience a little more transmission noise with the poly-bush, but its negligible.

There is a very simple tool that costs around £1.

The downside is that you need to remove the casing cover.

Good to have both of those links as I want to give it a go with a stock bush. Jonco's as now I know how BMW do it and I won't be buying one of those tools! And Pingu's as hopefully I can make my own tool now and I have a 10 ton press so hopefully that will help.

The part number on my link is for the M Roadster bush. I think that it is different to standard. Just check RealOEM.

I used a vice to squeeze the bush into the cover. A 10-ton press should be much easier.
