There is several threads about sport springs as it stands general consensus is that 15mm drop sport springs are dealer only
@mrscalex may be able to confirm this as I believe he has looked into this a fair bit.

That is absolutely correct. No known exceptions unless you can find a decent set second-hand.

So the other option is adjustable coil overs.

Cheers guy’s,

Will get onto bmw in the morning (if anyone’s there) and see what we can do. Other than that i guess i could always get the -30mm springs and use some thicker pads under the springs to bring it right although the ride may be compromised.

Not too keen on coilovers as we’d be talking real money for such a small difference in height. Although they would definitely allow us to get to the desired height.

Thanks again and if anyone comes across any -15mm springs I’ll definitely be interested.

Well that’s a good job done, took me 7 hours to put it all back together today which is a hell of a lot longer than some of you on here but happy to have tackled this whilst having the time off as i would have kicked my self if it wasn’t by the time we all get back to work.

The new bushes have given the car a new lease of life, the unpredictability when loaded around corners has now gone. The ride over bumps isn’t as bad as i feared it would be either.

Just wanted to say thanks to all that have documented their work on the rear beam bush as you’ve all helped.

On to the next job.....

Cheers.

Good work there. I used my scissor lift to remove the whole assembly complete with trailing arms and diff which was still tricky.

I’ve noticed quite a difference since poly bushing and can put up with the slightly harsher ride. Seem to have a creak but think it’s actually coming from drivers seat so will replace the bushes at some point.
