Are these parts the same across the entire range?
I had thought not but real oem has the beam and the arms fitted from 1.9 to the 3.0 all parts.
Just thinking on a beam rebuild so I can fully build and powdercoat one off and do a swap ?

The rear is the same for the wide body 2.8 and all facelift cars. The prefacelift/narrowbody ones must have a different swing arm. The main beam is the same for all cars

The rear beam is different for the Z3M. It has internal reinforcements and a different camber set up on the trailing arm mounts. It has "HP" marked on it somewhere.

All non-M Z3's have the same rear beam. The trailing arms change as describe above.

So it listing from 1996 -2002 Is wrong ? The above list is all one part number it is also The same for the 318ti compact.
So the M43 was fitted from 1999 ? Not 96 as it suggests?

Bad info then on the dates... thanks. just saw a cheap beam and arms and thought a possible way to go. I could still refurb the beam and make it easier though so maybe worth looking into

Dates aren'the incorrect as the 2.8 was made from 1996 so start date is correct, the narrow body one starts from 1994

I'm about to remove the rear beam and trailing arms from my 2.2 breaker. PM me if interested - they'll be a reasonable price.

When you get to the page that you have shown, you have to actually click on the link that says "Z3 E36 (04/1996) - (06/2002)" and it will then show wich model variants had that part. That page doesn't mean that all cars in that model/date range had the part.
