RBS 6 Nations 2016

:thumbsup:Great win for Scotland today

Well done England and well done Scotland, two games on the bounce for the Scots, I hope that Scotland get a boost in confidence from these two wins.

I was in Edinburgh yesterday when the rugby was on (England/Wales) popped in to a pup to watch the game, apart from the French people for today's game I thought the place was full of Welsh people until I work out the the Scots were being honorary Welsh supporters for the day :)

Full Time: Scotland 29-18 France
Enjoyed that game, well done Scotland....
Thank's for showing us that if you can beat the French, England have the grand slam in the bag.....:D

After that quote HT I hope they wipe the floor with you, C'mon France. The whole of Wales will be adopted French Next Week....

Funny how Welsh player gets cited [he should be seemed to be fully justified--should have been Red at the time] but no action taken against English players --- -let off with a friendly word of advice, or told to apologies.
Wonder if Francis says sorry he will be excused any punishment.
Pity all infringements are not treated in similar ways.
It seems to be a trouble with England at home , I recall Nigel Owen suffering abuse last year.
You wonder why so many folk support their own country team and anyone playing England.

???

Prop Joe Marler has been cited for allegedly striking an opponent in England's Six Nations win over Wales.
The 25-year-old forward, who plays his club rugby with Premiership side Harlequins, faces an independent disciplinary committee later this week.

NOT for the alleged racist abuse ,he said sorry for that one.
Wonder why it took a day after the Welsh citing.
It ,of coarse ,highlights the whole failing of the citing system. England have already won the tournament any penalty now will have absolutely no effect on them. This applies with all punishment after citing not just this incident. The next team get benefit of any suspension.
Its ironic that if the suspension on Francis is beyond a week it has no further effect on Welsh rugby ,but can effect the English championship. Seems unfair.
Don't know of a better system thou',but it seems odd that with 3 officials on the field so much is missed ,perhaps it will improve with SH trying out using 2 refs as well the 2 "linesmen", but getting very over regulated me think.

Yes, because the powers that be have common sense when it comes down to blown out of all proportion PC crap.
This comment just cracked me up:
Joseph Jones, a spokesperson for the Gypsy Council, told BBC Radio Wales Marler had "put himself in a bad position".

What will happen next weekend if a French player calls an English player 'English Pig'.....In French?
Thinking about it, what would have happened if a Welsh player called an English player 'English Pig' in Welsh?

getting very over regulated me think.

You hit the nail on the head there.

Wonder why it took a day after the Welsh citing.

Because the Welsh citing was more important:
"Law 10.4 (m) applies - Acts Contrary to Good Sportsmanship."

Oh, and by the way......
England back row James Haskell was given a formal warning for a dangerous "neck roll" tackle.

Just in case I have given the wrong impression , I am not PC ,in fact been in trouble for being the opposite. I just wish you could say any think that is true ,tact and diplomacy never my strong point.
There are lots of laws and rules I disagree with , but if that's the law I am stuck with it.
HT you say
Oh, and by the way......
England back row James Haskell, meanwhile, was given a formal warning for a dangerous "neck roll" tackle
.
This in my book says he did it, but got away without any sanction. -----let off for a dangerous tackle!

Are you saying racial abuse ,which is bound into the both the rules of the game and law is not included in this rule.

You can expect the BBC to bring in the Gypsy Council, typical BBC. Just listen to any BBC news for all the minority party's being given space.

Obviously not, this rule was used due to one bloke sticking his fingers into another blokes eyes.

Please Please don't let Rugby go the same way as football, otherwise it will completely ruin the game. Full of Pre-Madonna's who fall on the floor writhing in pain even though they were never touched. This is a full contact sport and things will happen, and I agree with HT:eek: Keep PC out of this game. And get rid of the Refs Mike and that stupid TMO system, decisions should be called by the referee with the assistance of the linesmen.

I quite like the ref's mic Jim, I like to hear how they control those guys who could flatten most of them quite easily, without even raising their voices. The down side is that ultimately they will pick up some "not so choice words or comments" but keep the mic, it's a man's sport!

Tony.

Fell out of love with football ages ago, never played it much to be honest, the main sport when I was at school was Rugby.

Quote from BBC so can not know how accurate

England prop Joe Marler has avoided any sanction for striking an opponent during his side's Six Nations win over Wales at Twickenham.

A Six Nations disciplinary committee found he struck prop Rob Evans in the 15th minute of Saturday's match.

So both English cited are found guilty of the offence ---but no punishment.

Don't say its counts as Yellow on the record. They got away with it .

Anyone surprised.
