Rattle NSR

Hi all. I'm a new Z3 driver so just starting to learn about the car's nuances.

With the roof down I can hear a rattle around the nsr when going over bumps in the road, any suggestions?

to the forum from West Cumbria. I had the same symptom, the fix was as Martin said.

Pretty easy job

One 18mm bolt on the trailing arm, pull the carpet back in the back between the seats and the roof and undo the top mounts. The shock will drop out. Then I think it's one nut on top on the top mount to release it from the shock

I had similar rattle on my M Coupe which was resolved as Martin said by changing top mounts. As I said at the time the silence was deafening!!!! Brilliant fix.
