Funnily enough, that 51 years old Spitfire has only done 33,544 miles (genuine) and has no surface rust to speak of. It was garaged and unused from 1998 to when I bought it in 2019.

When I bought the car, I took it to a Triumph specialist nearby, and on arrival I was told they were expecting yet another bucket of rust… Not this one.

Ah, but the Spit is only 1.3 and without overdrive; the dog new the Z3 would be better for a joyride. Clever dog!
