Usual culprits are bonnet switch, tilt sensor in boot well getting wet and boot lid wiring loom.
Best check out all three. Boot loom usually shows up as bad with random alarm activations and or central locking playing up.
To check for damaged wires in the loom you have to strip the outer cover of the loom to inspect the individual wires. Any broken or chaffed wires should be repaired and wrapped to insulate them from each other to avoid shorts. Heatshrink is probably the best method of insulating them after soldering the broken wires back together.
There seems to be an upsurge in boot loom faults going on at the moment.
