my stereo has aux input mode. If and how do I connect to it ??

Mine has a socket to the right of the centre console just above my left knee.
Hope that helps .

Hey Paul, you will find a 3.5mm jack socket on the console if it's fitted, just above the ash tray. My 2003 car has the capability but they were not connected from the factory, so you buy a lead off eBay for about £4 and fit it yourself, dead easy.I fitted the socket for mine in a similar place to the factory fit.

I use a small mp3 player mounted in the slide grip on the console so that control is at my finger tips.

Too be honest Tony not noticed. But not really looked. Is it easy to pull radio out. And do you have to remove centre console

It's all here mate, on page 1.

When you get the cable you get full instructions. Just one of the "plug and play" items on the early E85 Z4 including Cruise Control, hence the switch in the above picture.

You remove the centre facia air vent, then 2 screws hold the head unit into the dash.

It’s 2008 but can’t find one

Just found it it’s under dash. Only had Car 13 months and didn’t know it was there.

That’s a bonus

Is it where I said, to the right of the console just above your left knee?

Yes under dash not screwed to console. Thanks
