Went to see this show last night at Newcastle City Hall. Ordered the tickets in November 2019 and finally after two cancellation dates the event was on.
Nearly a full house to see a brilliant show. The chemistry between Sue, Phil and Matt is nothing short of amazing. Haven't laughed so much for ages.
Steve Cram & Gary Pallister joined Phil's team and Steve Harmison & Georgia Taylor-Brown (Olympic Triathlon Gold medal winner) joined Matt's team. Phil's team won but nobody was that bothered really everyone was so happy to see the show in the old format. Really enjoyed the show, they had a standing ovation at the end.
Just what BBC programmers were thinking of when they dumped the three of them in one go and changed the format to something along the lines of A League of Their Own copy is beyond me. I watched the first 10mins of the opening show of the new series and switched it off, total rubbish. The new format was supposed to appeal to the younger viewer but every one I've spoke to aren't bothering to watch the show.
