Putting your feet up?

You can probably imagine the shape of the Morris Traveller after being hit by a 40 ton Tanker. It was not much short of a miracle she survived at all. For the first few days visiting her in hospital hearing her moan with pain until they reduce the weight of the water bag stretching her leg was pitiful to be honest.

Tony.
I feel for you and yours especially your Mum @t-tony . She sounds like she was a very brave lady. And resilient.

A small number of vertically challenged people have been killed by airbags in the early days as it hit them as opposed to them hitting it. Snapped their necks. Modern airbags are more intelligent and sense the distance of the driver and deploy accordingly.
So sad.

Which was when the seat belt pre tensioners came into being IIRC. But even so the deployment with someone so close is dangerous even in car equipped with modern airbags ( there's a sticker telling you this in every hire car in the US). There are currently several Law suits going through about (Takata) airbags fitted to many Japanese vehicles where they've deployed and killed people from the shrapnel released as the pyrotechnics went off.

Tony.

Anyone putting their feet on my dash with exit with bloody stumps...
