Hey Jack Ratt! Thanks for the Welcome! :) You're from Truro Cornwall? I've definitely got to Google that one!
Yeah, in South West UK. Cornwall is a peninsula that borders Devon, the Atlantic Ocean and English Channel. The home of the world famous Cornish Pasty

Hi David @DerProjektZ3 welcome from me near Lincoln UK, anything you may need to know abouts Z's is right here at the click of a mouse. If no one knows how to help you " it ain't never broke!" :)=)). First time we went to Orlando 23 years ago we made friends with a family from Joelton Tenessee, we were all staying at Give kids the world village in Kissimmee. Two families with seriously ill children and although they split up we keep in touch with the mum. Her husband worked at Fort Knox IIRC. Me, I love to hear the southern drawl mate, as much as the locals like to hear the English accent(s). I had a Z3 but 18 months ago I bought a Z4 3.0 and I love it. Member @FRANKIE has been over here twice now and he drove down to Kissimmee last September to visit with us, he's from New Jersey.

Great to have another enthusiastic member here to add to the many. We're a friendly bunch and already a lot from all over I guess you have checked out the member map to see if any are local to you. We call local 1 to 2 hours drive and that covers London to Leeds for me.

Brian4.. You rock bud! Thanks for the mention of the User Map. Found 2 forum members that live within 20 minutes of my home. You got that right when you said "we're a friendly bunch"! Makes me want to pack my toys and move across the pond! :coolsteer)

Hi David, and welcome from Cardiff. Enjoy the forum mate, it's the font of all Zed knowledge. Keep us updated and post plenty of pics, and you won't go wrong. :welcome:
Enjoying so far Philip! I signed up with a well known forum a few days ago and did an intro message and I still don't think I've received a response. This place is much more active and fun! Think I'll make this my z-Pool plethora of overwhelming Z-Info (Or ZPOZI for short).

Thanks Antm72! I hope to get the Z up on some jack-stands this Friday and start to diagnose and play. Ordered quite a bit of stuff to get started and I'm sure my investigating will lead to more. I'm going to have fun with this no matter how awful it gets lol! :banghead::rage::bookworm::banghead::rage:

Tony!! Great to be here bud and hope that when you're stateside sometime we can have a brew! :drinks:
I hope my name "DerProjektZ3" isn't offensive. I hosted a couple German Exchange students the past 2 years and beyond Schnitzel that's about as Europy as my language gets. So you moved on to the Z4 eh.. My Chinese foreign exchange student thought that's what I should be playing with but the only one I could afford was automatic and I really wanted a manual transmission. Hope to see you around the forum!

Mine is an Auto David, by design, I like a lazy drive but if I'm in a hurry its pretty quick.

Hi from St Georges, Manitoba;Canada!! I think you'll be happy with the z3 as it's a well balanced car which isn't as sophisticated as the z4 but is a hoot to drive. Because Canada's roots are with Britain we also say Zed whereas my American family members in Mo. and Ca. say zee!! Enjoy yourself as you go through the menu and post up any questions you have!! Hey Jim: I think I'm going to say Zed as well (just so all my friends will think I've lost my mind). Swing by here next time you're on your way to Florida! I think this car is going to be a blast to play with. I've been wanting to take it out for a drive but I told myself "no driving it" till I get that oil leak fixed. So I've got motivation :) Thanks for the welcome message!

So #$@!ing AWESUM! Beautiful shots (both car and location)! Got a guest room?
We have many different landscapes in a small area here in the UK. Where Andy lives is one of the best. He's not told you about the track to his place and the cattle though :D
Small price to pay ;)

I guess you could say that when I purchase a vehicle it follows suit that I automatically join a forum or 2. I had an itch to do some wrenching in the garage and the ATV and UTV just weren't satisfying my needs. I picked up a 2001 Z3 roadster with the 2.5i which has seen 207,000 miles. Previous owner for the past 5 years was a guy that was in college and was using this car as his daily driver up until I purchased it one week ago. No maintenance records exist so my first step is to do basic maintenance, replace all fluids, replace thermostat and water pump with a performance version, hoses, belts, and a worn gasket that is causing a slight oil leak. Going to run a compression check this weekend.
I love forums because sure enough one of you has already encountered and dealt with most everything that will be thrown at me by the way of curve balls with this toy.
David
Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. I've been reading the posts here. You'll get used to it.............Windscreen, boot, bonnet, bushes, etc. If I go down to Florida to see @t-tony again, I'll swing by you to say 'Hi". I was over there (UK) twice to meet the gang and had a great time. One of my friends from Wales, @miller1098, flew into Philly where I met him and after a few cheesesteaks, we flew out to San Diego to pick up a Z3 ///M I had seen on the internet and bought . We spent 6 days driving it back to Jersey. You'll love this forum.

Helpful hints for the forum:
Don't talk about which way your Boot rack faces.
Don't mention anything about their "football".....................(Keeps the fur from flying.)
Also, if you have any thoughts about Brexit, keep them to yourself. (What an uproar THAT was.........)
And they're very polite and reserved when they talk about Uncle Donald.
And don't say anything about SHEEP or they'll start in on me again.............................(my trip to Wales)............................Frankie
