Sorry for the delay in the update, but I had to leave the 'shed early as I wasn't feeling well 
. Managed to get back to work today after a day off...
A simple task to get us started...
Et voila
The rest of the evening was a very straightforward lifting of the rear sub frame and reconnecting everything. We've document this many times in other threads, and there were no particular issues of note. The handbrake cables were a little tighter than normal where they pass through the holes in the chassis. We forgot we needed a new nut for the bottom of the pin which snapped on removal - luckily had something the same size we could wind on temporarily until we got a new off the shelf one from the local dealer.
Whilst we were doing all this Trev was changing the remaining front shock absorber and spring. Took a bit of coaxing once the three bottom fixings were undone as it's a bit rusty under there.
This was the passenger side taken the other night that I forgot to post... When Lee compressed the piston on this shock it burst open and sprayed the internal oil out. So that was knackered then!

Shame about the weather, glorious when I left Basingstoke ended up absolutely p****** down and one of the Severn bridges closed due to high winds. Gave it the beans after I left Lee, the car is transformed, solid on the road and takes corners as if it's on rails. Glad I went for the 18" wheels, goes to show that if your bushes and suspension are sorted 18" wheels are no problem.

The Z shed is a great place to visit, I would imagine only a small percentage of member have seen it. A very small garage but the cars that go in there come out with big changes. Hats off to you guys.@ZTec yet another satisfied member of the Zed community who has fallen in love with the Zed again. All thanks to a visit to the Zed Shed TM
They work well I must admit, bedded in nicely by the time I got home. I wouldn't have thought about the brake upgrade if @Lee had'nt shown me @pgunter 's which had already been done. The wheels which are 18" fit well within the arches, those again were chosen once I had tried them off @miller1098 's wife Sarah's car a few months ago. Ideal to actually see upgrades on actual cars and not on shelves makes choosing what to do much easier. I'll have to list everything that's been done to the car sometime, I dare'nt tally up the figure spent.
