Lots of progress tonight and an early finish for good behaviour...
Lots of new parts from GSF, although someone forgot to order hand brake cables
One of the stubborn beam bush support brackets bolts. This was cut off with the angle grinder, and the second with the dremmel due to poor access. About 1 1/2 hours work on these two
Starting to lower the rear beam.
The sub frame is free!
Ready to lift up on to the work bench...
Definitely needs new rear beam bushes, the metal centre has pulled away from the rubber...
Swing arm bush rubber starting to crack (ignore the rust)...
Diff bush collapsed when we put a screwdriver in it to see if there was any play. Plenty
Now if we only had some handbrake cables...

Sub frame minus the rear beam...
Rear shock top mounts are badly corroded too...
Old shock next to new shock with new top mount fitted (correctly!). Cleaned up the dirt sleeve as well with a spray of WD40. These shocks are branded as Boge.
Rear drop links cracking too...

At this point it was time for an early finish for a change

For the record I'd like to state that for the time I have owned Scarlett (year and a bit) she has always been garaged, and for 7 months of that ownership, I have been away so she was pretty much permanently in there.
Pretty much what I am saying is that I deny any responsibility for her getting into this state! ...but I'm proud to be able to play a (small) part in getting her out of it!

From what i can see none of this is davids fault, Its mearly had a hard life. I'm assuming from the ammount of rust that its been stored near the sea.

A little tidy up on the diff while he's at it.
The end of the evenings events...
Now waiting on some more parts. Reassembly Saturday after having the beam bushes pushed out on the 100t press at the garage down the road.
