Private Plates

They've always done this Mike over here. I recall as a kid P155 OFF being banned. Would have been great of own it tho!
 
It is funny when you do see the number plates :p
 
It's odd the language that newspapers use to hype something up to what it isn't. DVLA haven't banned them, they are not issuing them or making them available to purchase.

It's not like they've issued them, and then changed their mind. It's kind of a non-story really, but they have issued some in the past and withdrawn them in retrospect. It's all in the T&C's when you "buy" one, they reserve the right to withdraw ones they've issued whenever they want.
 
The DVLA always said they would never release any registrations that were either offensive or religious?......... that was until they found out how much money they could make selling them.

A former CEO I worked for paid the DVLA £256,000 for JC 1? Seems the DVLA overlooked that one.
 
Guy round the corner has B16 DOG. I keep seeing and thinking is that offensive or not. Mind you - he is a big guy.
 
There is one down the road from me on a L200 and its P15T UP and he has it laid out that way
