Private Number Plates , people's opinions

I have absolutely nothing against"private" plates, as long as they are spaced properly and not made to look as though they are something else. If you have something of this ilk please have a proper pair and fit them before you take your car for the MOT, then put the others back on after. It saves a lot of grief. By the way all of these in this thread are fine, but many are not.:)

Iv have Y216 BRD (BIRD) heehee

I think private plate are interesting if not too expensive.:)
When I see a car I always try to discover if it's a private and if yes, what he try to say.
It's like a small riddle which can entertain you in traffic.
I like the more sophisticated where you can't find the meaning immediately; how many things you can show or suggest with 3 letter and few numbers!;)

I still like TO55SER, and I know just the recipient too.:ymdevil:

Hi
So pick one that is personal to you....that way you can change it if you change your car

Play about with the tools on the Dvla web site

I did and you never know what you can find to suit

Both mine and the wife's were cheep ones around 15 years ago.....still look good tho

In my own tiny little mind I'm saying "Hi G Hyd" as if I'm talking to myself. Which I do a lot.

I used to have G4 HYD which was my initials ( G A ), and then most of my surname. Traded the car in on a whim, and couldn't transfer it off in time.

Already have my next plate in mind, but don't have the cash for it at the moment...
Could you please post a pic of the whim? We didn't get those imported here. Always wanted to see one as it seems so many European's trade cars on them? JIM

Hmm interesting, if i purchased one of these £138 ones that start M44 then maybe only the BMW community would know what that is?
So! Who cares about anyone that's doesn't know Massive 44 anyway?? We know we're the elite of the elite. Those other zed owners can't even come up with a good name for their group!! JIM

My wife used to work for Ann Summers and at the time drove an Audi 80 with the number D17LDO. She's now got it on retention but wanted to put it on my Zed.

Couldn't have that though, I'd feel a bit of a dick driving around with that on my car

Just don't get a cheapo Northern Ireland plate or one of those that you have to illegally space the digits or have number plate fixing screws strategically placed for it to mean anything - you'd just look a knob.

Otherwise get one!

Suits the zed and it's hairdresser tag!

Anything is better than what I have at the moment as its S ... ADO. which spells SADO, i need to get rid of that methinks!
