Not so sure of interest in cars by the younger generation, think it was James May who noted such, i have two grandsons who show very little to no interest in cars.
That's a shame, both my two son's who are 11 and 13 love cars, always going on about barn finds and 0-60 times. we used to go to track days with them and that probably sparked the interest.

My son loves cars bought a 1960 Beetle when he came out of uni 2002/3 and had it at Santa Pod on the stright and got a 0 to 60 time o under 6 seconds if my memory serves me right.
On the price of the 3.0l I think I will put mine up for sale next month after its MOT as I dont seem to be able to sell my red 1.9. Geoff

I think kids are very interested in modern performance/super cars. Maybe not older stuff. But I can't think that would be a recent thing.

And I probably wouldn't even be interested in doing the Z3s without my 17 year old lad working very enthusiastically alongside me. It's our thing.

Geoff, I think your 1.9 needs to be sub £2500 and it would sell on autotrader. As nice a car it maybe the 4 pots don't demand the price of the 6 cylinder cars. No offence meant but you've been trying to sell it for a long time and there is only one reason something doesn't sell.....price.

I agree with what you are saying but the virus has hindered the sale as well but as I don’t need the money only the garage slot I will give it a few weeks and if nothing I will see if I can sell the 3.0

Surely dropping back down after having the 3litre would be a bit underwhelming, dont think I could

I have used both much prefer red and at my old age I don’t need the speed or acceleration the 1.9 is cheaper to run all round but we will see
