Hi everyone as i am currently in the process of saving my poor little z and at some point will no longer need to replace and repair what does everyone consider as preventative maintenance or what PM for short have you already done?

Check the inner cills for corrosion particularly each end by removing the outer cills and all wheel arch liners, remove rust, treat and re underseal.

Suspension and associated bushings depending on mileage and when if it was ever done previously.

Brake pipes for corrosion though MOT testers would usually give advisories.

Air intake/vacuum pipes for splits

I sent mine for an extended stay down at Munich Legends - they did a lot of stuff on it - checked the VANOS, attended to anything needing doing like brake pipes etc. came back mechanically spot on.
Then sent it in for bodywork - cleaned up the sills & fitted new sill covers, also repainted all four arches to remove any brown.

Now looks & drives like a new car!
