Just before Christmas the president of the Italian owners club messaged me to say that he was sending me a package but that he had been advised by the courier that it would be safer to send it after the seasonal rush. Well it arrived today and I am gobsmacked to say the least. He has sent me a hoody and a polo shirt for myself, a polo shirt and tracky bottoms for Jeano plus a lanyard each for future events and various z3mendi stickers.
He would love to see more cars from England make the trip down next year so if anybody really fancies an adventure we will be doing it in a 7 day trip this year to reduce costs, probably leaving on a Wednesday and getting home the following Tuesday. It would be good to have some company and I can assure you that you will get a very warm welcome and have a great time in Italy.

Great news Tony:thumbsup:

What a nice surprise, I like the top with what's printed on it.
I imagine they're a lovely group of people as well.

Where in Italy will you be going to? I have an old school friend who now lives in Scalea, about 50 miles south of Naples on the west coast. He keeps asking me to have a drive to see him

The meet up will be in the Tuscany region but you could easily carry on down the coast to Naples. It would be great to have some company even if only on the way down.

Usually the Z3mendi meeting is in the end of September. This year the 30th Raduno Nazionale is 27-28-29 September.

Spot on Zeti. I think our plan this year will be to leave on the Wednesday and arrive at the venue Friday afternoon. Friday night dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner then Sunday breakfast and lunch are organised by the club, either at the resort or out on the trips. Usually all done and dusted mid afternoon on the Sunday when you can either start the drive home or carry on with your holiday.
We can cover it more sometime over the Shropshire weekend Nodzed.

And don't forget Galvoz's advice:
...
"Manca un pezzo e sei fregato,
che lavoraccio, non pagato...
Questo è il Nazionale,
signo'ssignori,
doccia emozionale,
scalda i cuori!

In the end: all my best wishes
to our friends that speak english
But, McPhillips our dear,
next time italian we want hear!"
=))

My grandfather used to say that Italian vehicles had one forward gear and four reverse gears; perhaps this was their tanks, not cars.

Hi My wife and I would be interested depending on what else come up this year (limited time and limited mileage on the Z). 2017 we did Milano and Monza and the Ferrari museum. So we have an inkling of whats involved. Cheers Chris

It would be great to have a little convoy chrisjw so I hope that it works out that you can join us.

The more the merrier Mr C.
There are options for attending the weekend depending on what you want from it but we opt for the full monty Friday, Saturday and Sunday to get the most out of the trip.
