Yesterday I was sitting at traffic lights on the A 10 a gentleman in the car next to me lowered his window to speak to me I lowered mine and he said he was a classic car dealer and said how beautiful and fantastic condition my humble little Zed was.
How nice is that.
Not bad for a 20 year old car.

Nice when you receive compliments like that makes all the gremlin shooting worth while.

lovely compliment Tracy, your car does look the business, did you sort out your battery problems?

That's great news @Tracy Dee :p
I bet you were really pleased ;)
I bet it made your day :)

Well not sure but we did go to Spain for a week on its new battery and it did start when we got back
It took the other new battery to start playing up after about 6 weeks it went flat we recharged it and then it was going flat once a week
Granted it's only used once or twice a week when not doing events we did remove fuse 43 as suggested but later found it disarmed the electric windows so it's back in now.
We are trying so far to get a trickle charger on Saturday mornings for 3/4 hours so fingers crossed it might have been a dodgy new battery but not convinced.
Playing it by ear trying to use a bit more and get the trickle charger on when I think it's not had much running time.

Nice of him to say.
Hows your car after your flat battery problem

Well not sure really about my battery issues we did go to Spain and it was left a week on its latest new battery on return it did start up ok.On the previous new battery it took 6 weeks before it started playing up it went flat so we charged it fully and it was going flat every week.
Granted it's only used once occasionally twice a week on fairly short runs .Fuse 43 was removed from advise on this forum but on return from holiday we discovered it disabled the electric windows so that has now been put back in.
It might have been a rougue battery we replaced as the last one gave up seems to be ok on the exchange one but not convinced.
We are getting a trickle charger on some Saturday mornings for 3 to 4 hours when we can also trying to use it more but with not many car events going on not always possible.
Just keeping fingers crossed.
