That sounds like my standard method. I call it 'percussion maintainance'.
Longitudinal percussive maintenance did the trick.

After letting water flow through it for a few minutes and then a swift 'tap' on the bottom (of the washer that is - she didn't like it =))) and it sprung into life!
Nothing I didn't try on Sunday, but there you go.

I have had regular failures of genuine Karcher products usually just after the warranty ends. I think the service dept were on my friends and family list at one time!
I now buy Aldi or Lidl versions as I believe they are still Karcher units but are much cheaper and come with longer warranties. They still fail though, usually after 18 months, but get replaced under warranty

I was just about to ask if you tried returning it to the place you purchased it and read your success post. Glad that's sorted. JIM

Unfortunately not. they are a different twist and turn. However I bought a new 10mtr armoured hose from qwashers with the Karcher end, so I can still use my Karcher gun/snowfoam/underbody lance with it.
The washers are approx £80, have a hose reel, detergent tank, stop/start metal pumps and about 120 bar as opposed to the 100/110bar variants. Dont come up very often though.
Mine gets a lot of use with the 3 cars (and the OCD!)
