Power Steering Delete

I have searched the forum but had no results apart from a car for sale some time ago which had one fitted.
Has anyone fitted one of these delete adaptors? I'm curious if anyone has any actual driving experience with this fitted - obviously parking would be a little heavier but would advantages outweigh the disadvantages in regards to 'spirited driving'?

It would fail the MOT if the power steering doesn't operate as intended.

Hi Tony - I'm guessing most people wouldn't have looked there unless they were in the trade or something similar, I had no idea. I won't do this mod then as my car will be on the road sooner or later. So, anyone reading this I now have an aluminium pas delete to sell! I pulled the trigger on that purchase too quickly didn't I lol

Always easy when you know mate. In the past it was acceptable to totally remove an ABS system from a car but not now.

Do these ABS & PAS regs apply then to all cars now, or only cars manufactured from a particular date onwards?

Since 2018 all vehicles.

It's a pre 2018 car, so who would know when the deletion took place?

It's not something that I would do, as I don't see the benefit being worth it.

There are better "bang-for-your-buck" mods before this one.

Should have said, the testers manual.was updated in 2018 .
