Post numbers

Just a suggestion, is it possible to display the post numbers for each entry in a specific thread? I see at the moment is show the total number of posts in a thread but sometimes when trying to point someone in the direction of information it is hard to pinpoint the info.

Makes perfect sense Brian. I've checked the current forum settings and no sign of an option for it out of the box.

I'll have a search to see if there is a module I can install to do the numbering. I would imagine someone has done it already.

Bimmerforums.com has it eg #34 on the top right of each post in a thread. Great for longer thread when you can say to people read from post xx to yy.
