I am a firm believer in each to their own. You go with whatever you want mate. Doesn't matter what others think it's your car not theirs.

@John Thompson - there is an old thread on here from a while back when I visited a company called Nubodi who make Z3 based kit cars. You could try contacting him via nubodiautos.moonfruit.com and see if he can give any suggestions. A lot of his kits ended up with wire wheels, so literally the only person I can think who may be able to suggest somewhere.

Some of those wheels were from older classic cars such as Jags, and used a stud converter to allow them to fit.

You go for it John, it's your car you do what you want with it. Personally I think a properly set up wire wheel arrangement would look fine on a Z3. Mind I am slightly biased as I had back in the 70s a 1966 MGB GT - Black with chrome wire wheels - I'm sure that car was a bit special as black paint & chrome wires weren't a factory option at the time. Wish I had that car now!!

The adaptors will be your greatest problem to solve and this company do blank backing plates for the adaptors.
Also take a look at this thread and maybe contact Sir Percival as to where got his wheels from, some pics on page 5 & 10 for you to see how they look on a Ferrari replica kit car based on Z3.
